Flux 3 Image is Black Forest Labs’ image generation and editing model, released on October 1, 2026. One model makes new images and edits your photos, takes up to 10 reference photos and outputs images up to 4K.
In the Artificial Analysis blind tests Flux 3 Image scores 1,117 for new images and 1,122 for edits, against 1,021 and 999 for Flux 2 Max. It also goes up to 4K, where Flux 2 stops at 4 megapixels.
Klein is a smaller version of Flux 3 Image with 5.6 billion parameters and open weights, released on October 15, 2026. It shares 4K output and editing with the full model, which scores higher in the Artificial Analysis blind tests.
