Tram across the sea
Cinematic surreal photograph: an old cream-and-green city tram glides across the surface of a calm ocean at sunset, its rails running on top of the water toward the horizon. THE TRAM: a single vintage tram car with warm yellow light in its windows and a few passengers inside: a schoolgirl with headphones, an old man reading a newspaper, a woman holding flowers. A small destination sign reads "LAST STOP". THE SEA: perfectly flat and glassy, mirroring the sky. The steel rails and wooden sleepers lie on the water, slightly submerged, with gentle ripples where the wheels touch. Far away, a second tram is a tiny glowing dot coming the other way. THE SKY: a huge sunset of peach and lilac clouds, the sun just touching the horizon, the first stars appearing above. CAMERA: a wide 35mm shot from slightly above the water, the rails leading from the lower corner into the distance, the tram in the left third. MOOD & STYLE: quiet, dreamy and a little melancholic, like a frame from a Japanese animated film made real. Photorealistic textures, soft film grain, a gentle glow. Vertical 3:4.
